About this story

Late night on the last bus, rain streaking the windows. A stranger sits down next to Vince, leans in, and says the one sentence Vince cannot afford to hear from anyone: I won't tell. He knows Vince's name. He knows about the affair. He knows things that no one should know — and then he stands up and gets off into the dark.

Vince follows. He has a gun in his briefcase, a lifetime of secrets in his pockets, and no idea how deep this night is about to go. I Won't Tell is a taut noir in the classic shape — one man, one bad decision, one long night — told almost entirely in two voices, and built to keep you listening to the last word.

An original thriller by John Sunseri, about twenty-eight minutes, directed for a small cast inside a rain-and-streetlight sound environment. The text is on screen as it is spoken. Rated 13+.

How this was made

This is a full-cast production, not a single narrator reading a book. Each character has its own voice, the lines are directed for pace and emotion, and the story plays inside a live sound environment — stone echoes and a wind that finds every gap — that shifts as the scenes change. The voices are synthetic (high-quality text-to-speech, directed by people), and the words appear on screen as they are spoken, so you can read along or follow in a second language.
